Amber lives on a small sheep farm in Barnet, Vermont on the banks of the CT River with her husband Chris and their kids. Before they bought Maplemont, the land there had not been farmed for at least 50 years. They have been busy restoring their historic farm by fencing the fields, fixing the barn, and developing a livestock spring and grazing system. They have a flock of 30 ewes and a few rams mostly made up of Border Leicester, Romney, and Coopworth Sheep. They sell the lamb to a Boston restaurant and the wool wholesale. Off the farm, Amber works for King Arthur Bakery and Chris is a Captain for the Hanover Fire Department. Amber spent the last 10 years managing and working for diversified pastured livestock, dairy, and cheesemaking operations in New England. Before that, she worked in Colorado on Holistically Managed Ranches and Dairies connected to the Quivira Coalition out of New Mexico.
