Brent Beidler is a long time organic dairy farmer from Randolph Center, VT.  He and his wife, Regina, milked 40 cows for 20 years shipping milk to Organic Valley.  The last 12 years the farm eliminated grain feeding for the herd. That decision was driven by a desire for increased on farm sustainability and a dedication to grass based agriculture.  After a satisfying stage of dairy farming, Brent sold his herd to a young Amish couple in New York State the fall of 2018.  Since that time he has been teaching agricultural courses at Vermont Technical College, working with Dr. Heather Darby’s OREI funded grass dairy research project and boarding and grazing heifers for other farmers on his farm.
